In a timely and coordinated response, the security forces have managed to thwart a terrorist attack attempt to Bannu Cantt today, after Iftar, the media wing reported on Tuesday. Security personnel neutralized six activists at various entry points before they can cause other damage.

According to inter-service public relations (ISPR), the attackers, considered as members of Khawarij, tried to infiltrate the military cantonment. However, the rapid security forces actions prevented them from raping the area.

While the terrorists were forced to a panic due to the rapid response, they tried to explode two vehicles loaded with bombs by crushing them within the walls surrounding Bann Cantt.

However, the explosions of vehicles loaded with bombs have led to significant collateral damage. A neighboring mosque was damaged and the roof of an adjacent house collapsed.

Tragically, reports indicate that innocent civilians have been injured or martyred in the explosions. The magnitude of the victims is still being evaluated.

The security forces are continuing their customs clearance in the region, ensuring that all the remaining terrorists are neutralized. The operation will persist until the terrorist threat is complete.
