Queen Elizabeth agreed to pose for a photo with Charles’ son, Prince William, and his grandson Prince George who was to be shared on the official social media pages of the royal family.
The photos shared on January 4, 2010 raised eyebrows because he did not include Prince Harry, Charles’s second son, then the Prince of Wales.
The photo came just when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left their royal functions, a few days before moving to Canada, then at their final destination, the United States.
At the beginning, the portrait was considered a major snob for Prince Harry of his grandmother and King Charles, but later, it appeared that he was supposed to represent four generations of British monarchs in one frame.
Prince Harry, in his Netflix documentary, said how her loving grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, refused to meet him when Canada arrived, quoting his schedule.
He did not seem to blame the queen, but he seemed convinced that the people responsible for doing his schedules were influenced by those who did not want him to meet his grandmother.
The tenderness of her grandmother to suggest that she could have questioned the need for portrait without Harry, but she probably accepted when he argued that this meant only displaying different generations of British monarchs.
Whatever the reason why the photo presented the future of the royal family who did not include Prince Harry, the husband of former American actress Meghan Markle.
The photo is always available on the Instagram account of the Prince and the Princess of Wales.
