Carl Dean recently died, leaving his wife, Dolly Parton, in an allocation of sadness. They have been married for over fifty years.
But what is interesting in their marriage is that the Pop icon made the knot with her reclusive husband against the wishes of her manager then, Fred Foster, who wanted her to delay the wedding for at least a year.
In a return event in 2016, she recalled before the media that it was a first period of her career. Records monument signed it – the well -known founded the label.
“In fact, I had just signed with Monument Records and Fred Foster, who was at the head of the label, he was investing a lot of money in me to try to stand out in the business. And he had heard that I was engaged,” said the 79 -year -old man.
“And so he called me to the office and said,” I would really like it if you don’t get married for at least a year. So I can make sure that I can get a return to my investment, because I want you to be free to work and do everything you need to do. “”
Dolly, however, did what she thought she was best for her and continued to marry Carl. “So this weekend, Carl and I went to Ringgold, in Georgia. And we got married so that it was not in the newspapers of Tennessee,” she said.
Carl died on March 4. She was 82 years old.
