- Direct wireless design on phone with a 100 -foot beach
- Four polar models available for different scenarios
- Now available from $ 299 / £ 289
Creators looking for better sound for their vlogs and podcasts are not lacking in wireless microphones to choose – but the latest shure microphone takes things in a different direction from the laptop of the DJI Mic Mini and Saramonic Ultra.
Unveiled today, The Shure Movemic 88+ is a wireless microphone designed to be mounted on tripods or microphone supports rather than a footboard or a shirt. It is designed for video professionals or journalists who need a small light microphone with enough flexibility to be used for everything, from nature to short films and two -headed interviews – it can be linked directly to the user smartphone on a range of 100 feet.
With the user performing the SHURE MOTIV video application, he will be able to select one of the four polar models – stereo, mono cardioid, mono -direction or at raw height – and refine audio performance of the microphone by adjusting the gain, the equalizer, the reduction in noise or the commitment of a high pass filter. The recordings can be stored directly on the phone or live on platforms, especially YouTube and Facebook.
The wireless link directly on the phone allows simple things while providing audio performance superior to the embedded microphone of a phone, especially in environments with wind or traffic noise. Shure also suggests that the size and the range of Movemic 88 + could prove to be invaluable for remote recording scenarios, giving the example of clearly capturing the nest sounds of a bird while being seated remotely; The discreet size of the microphone means that it could be placed near the nest without disturbing its inhabitants.
The Moviemic 88+ has an integrated rechargeable battery offering up to eight hours of use, by filling USB -C in case of need, and is provided with two mounting clips – one for the cold shoes of the camera and another for the micro 5/8 ”supports. It can also operate when it is portable directly, according to Shure – but seems a little to hold comfortably.
The Shure Movemic 88+ can be purchased solo for $ 299 / £ 289, or in a package with the Movemic receiver ($ 449 / £ 439), which allows it to connect to cameras, computers and smartphones (for the recording of third-party applications) via USB-C or a 3.5 mm cable.
