The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 could get a welcome upgrade in a crucial piece of equipment compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in progress, if you believe a new rumor.
According to the Dutch site Galaxyclub, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will be shipped with a 4300 mAh battery, up the 4,000 mAh battery in the Galaxy Z Flip 6.
If this rumor is confirmed, this would mark the second 300mah boost in as many years for the most accessible foldable in Samsung, while the Galaxy Z Flip 5 was launched with a 3700 mAh battery in 2023.
Battery improvements of all kinds are particularly welcome for folding phones, which may find it difficult to provide the same longevity as their bars counterparts due to the ineffectiveness inherent in the division of a battery cell between the two (or more while we are starting to see devices to be folded) of the telephone parts.
Indeed, our review Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 revealed that the phone battery was a rare drawback to an incredibly capable combined.
GalaxyClub notes that, because of how battery capacities are announced, the nominal capacity of the phone will probably be lower, at around 4,174 mAh. It is always an improvement compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which indicates that the report had a nominal capacity of 3,887mAh.
As we mentioned above, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 should also largely follow the form and function of the model from last year, recent rendering suggesting that the two will be almost identical in appearance.
This visual similarity also tells us a little the phone’s hardware – we are still expecting two cameras, a profiled cover screen and an interior screen with a high appearance ratio, although the screens are paid to a very slightly increased size.
However, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 already has a place on our lists of the best folding phones and the best Samsung phones, so a boost on the battery would probably be enough to secure these spots for its follow -up.
