Brendan Gunn, the brother of the Australian Breakdancer Raygun, was charged by the Australian securities regulator for organizing a fraud program linked to cryptography.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) accuses Gunn a criminal offense, which has a maximum of three years’ imprisonment, a fine of $ 37,800 or both.
Raygun, alias Rachael Gunn, is an Australian breakdancer whose Olympic appearance in 2024 drew generalized attention to social networks. Although Gunn abandoned the Olympic Games, his bizarre performance attracted a lot of anger from social media and gave birth to several memes viral.
The ASIC said that Brendan Gunn had transported two virgin checks of three victims, totaling $ 181,000 ($ 113,000) for crypto investment. Gunn was the Director of Pty Ltd Mortmarkets, who accepted deposits for Crypto an investment abroad.
Gunn appeared on Tuesday before a local court and is expected to appear in court on April 29.
