According to ESPN, Baun returns to the Eagles for an agreement of three years of value estimated at $ 51 million. The agreement is on average an annual salary of $ 17 million, which places Baun fourth among the best paid seconds. He would also become the best paid second in the history of the Eagles once the agreement becomes official.

Baun spent his first four NFL seasons with the Saints of New Orleans before signing a one-year contract with Philadelphia in 2024. During the NFL scouting combination last week in Indianapolis, the executive vice-president / CEO of Eagles, Howie Roseman, suggested that re-signs Baun was a priority.
“Obviously, a phenomenal season – the first All -Pro team, the five best defensive players of the year,” said Roseman. “A great person, a huge character. Made a huge difference during the regular season, made a huge difference during the playoffs, made a huge difference in the Super Bowl. And, so these are guys that you obviously want to keep. There is no doubt about it. We will make a concerted effort to try to keep it here. But … obviously, he has the opportunity to hit a free agency.”

Shortly after Philly’s defense went bankrupt Kansas City chiefs in the February Super Bowl, Baun expressed his hope of staying in an Eagles uniform.
“My goal every time is to play the best football possible,” he said during the cleaning day of the lockers. “I hope it’s here. I love this place, and I really appreciate what they have done for my career and my family and everything. I have a lot of options to weigh and think.”
The Eagles also rewarded Saquon Barkley earlier this week. The star ball carrier agreed with a historic extension of two years worth $ 41.2 million, ESPN reported.
The contract made of Barkley the best paid player of his position in the history of the League. He is also the first NFL ball carrier with an annual salary of $ 20 million.
