Islamabad:
The High Court of Islamabad (IHC) made a suspension prescription, prohibiting the high -power selection board (HPSB) from promoting officers from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) from the 21st year to the 22nd year until the next hearing.
Judge Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, while hearing a petition tabled by the FBR officer Shah Bano ordered that the HPSB does not meet for the promotion of FBR officers before March 12.
The court ordered that the officials of the FBR concerned are immediately informed of the order by telephone, ensuring that they are aware of the legal proceedings before the signature of the official document.
The IHC has asked for affidavits to the President of the FBR and the Prime Minister’s secretary. The president of the FBR must confirm that no summary concerning the placement of the petitioner in the administrative basin has been transmitted, while the secretary to the Prime Minister must affirm that no summary of this type has been received from the president of the FBR.
The court warned that if the affidavits are not submitted, the relevant summary should be registered before the next hearing.
Shah Bano had approached the IHC so that his name was included in the HPSB consideration for promoting the 22nd year of the 21st year.
