- Microsoft is launching a new recovery option after Windows 365 disaster
- Recovery can be 8x faster than recovery after the disaster in the Crossed region
- Administrators can select their favorite region for sovereignty
Microsoft has sought to improve its data recovery options for users with the launch of a new Windows 365 Disaster Recovery Plus offer (DRP).
The upgraded tool is designed for users requiring a recovery after high performance claims, therefore focuses on faster recovery times, the risk of lower data and the preallocated capacity.
Working a bit like the recovery solution after the loss of the cross region, the recovery after disaster and replies the snapshots of PC cloud records in another region.
Microsoft adds an even more powerful recovery option
“When activated, users will be indicated to a temporary cloud PC. During a breakdown, the user will have access to his temporary Cloud PC with all the applications and parameters installed according to the last dining point, “noted the resumption of the Windows 365 (CRDR), the main product manager Doug Coombs.
However, the temporary PC cloud is only used to provide affected users with access to previously restored files and does not act in replacement of their main system, which means that no “applications, data or other information will be preserved” – instead, users are invited to record work on OneDrive or Sharepoint.
In a practical guide, users experienced by Coombs can choose from any geography or region that Windows 365 is available for their other region, allowing administrators to consider other factors such as data sovereignty.
“The resumption after Windows 365 disaster disaster provides improved recovery capacities after sinister such as a shorter recovery time (RTO), a preallocated capacity and a shorter recovery point lens (RPO) compared to the recovery of the transversal disaster of Windows 365,” he added.
PC Cloud tenants with up to 50,000 PC Cloud in a region can expect recovery in four hours with CRD, against less than 30 minutes for DRP.
Windows 365 Disaster Recovery Plus is available in preview as a completed additional module for Windows 365 Enterprise Edition only, but it will generally be available by spring.
