Islamabad:
The Great Power Selection Council (HPSB) approved the promotion of 36 officers from Administrative Pakistan Service (AP), the police service and the external service in the 22nd year.
However, the promotions of the officers of the Federal Board of Return (FBR) were deferred due to a suspension prescription made by the High Court of Islamabad (CIH).
The board of directors will meet on Monday to examine promotions in other service groups.
The HPSB meeting, chaired by deputy PM Ishaq Dar, was held at the firm division. PPP President Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also attended the theater as a member of the board of directors, as well as the federal minister Ahad Cheema, the secretary of the division of the Inamullah Khan establishment and the secretary of the cabinet Kamran Ali Afzal.
During the meeting, the board of directors examined more than 150 officers for promotion in the 22nd year. Later, he approved the elevation of 19 PAS officers, eight of the police and nine from the external service.
Pas officers, who are promoted in 22nd year, include Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Waseem Ajmal Charthry, Ambreen Raza, Ali Tahir, Usman Akhtar Bajwa, Muhammad Humair Karim, Syed Ataur Rehman, Musaddiq Ahmad Khan, Rashid Mahmood, Mamin Agha, Nadeem, Shakeel Mahmood, Mamin Agha, Nadeem, Shakeel, Rashid Mahmood, Mamin Agha, Nadeem Mahban, Rashid Mahmoo Ahmad Mangnejo, Dawood Muhammad Barach, Saadia Sarwat Jawaid, Asad Rehman Gilani, Ali Sarfraz Hussain, Zahid Akhtar Zaman, Awan and Ahmad Raza Sarwar.
Those of the police services promoted in the 22nd year are Ba Nasir, Ghulam Nabi Memon, Muhammad Farooq Mazhar, Imran Yaqoob Minhas, Abdul Khaliq Shaikh, Shahzad Sultan, Zubair Hashmi and Muhammad Tahir.
The agents of the outdoor service promoted in 22 include Ahmad Naseem Warraich, Pakistan ambassador to the EU Rahim Hayat Qureshi, the permanent representative of Pakistan at the UN Asim Iftikhar Ahmad Niaz Tirmizi, Nabeel Munir, Pakistan ambassador to Germany Saqlain Saydah and foreigners Shafqat Ali Khan.
The official notification of the officers promoted is expected in a day or two. This meeting marked the first HPSB session in almost a year and a half. However, due to the schedules responsible for Dar and Bilawal, not all cases were examined.
The Council will meet again on Monday to assess the promotions of five positions in the secretarial group, five at the Inland Rété Service, two in the audit and account service, and each in the information group and the postal group.
Sources have indicated that if the IHC raises the order of stay after the submission of an affidavit, the promotions of the FBR officers will also be taken into account.
The IHC has asked for affidavits to the President of the FBR and the Prime Minister’s secretary. The president of the FBR must confirm that no summary concerning the placement of the petitioner in the administrative basin has been transmitted, while the secretary to the Prime Minister must affirm that no summary of this type has been received from the president of the FBR.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif modified the rules, allowing DAR to chair the HPSB for the first time.
Meanwhile, Bilawal participated in the meeting of the Board of Directors for the first time as a member.
