The House of Representatives of the United States The leader of the Hakeem Jeffries minority, DN.Y., repeated the unfounded argument that the law on women and girls of sport would have “triggered” sexual predators in the United States in the United States
Jeffries first proved to be this argument the day the Chamber voted on the bill on January 14, joining other eminent democratic representatives, including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, DN.Y. The argument caused a severe reaction from some registered democratic voters and was not repeated leading to the Senate of the bill of the bill on Monday.
But Jeffries again raised the argument when he was asked about the recent comments from the Governor of California Gavin Newsom on transgender athletes in girls sports being “unfair”.
“I didn’t see [Newsom’s] Comments. To which the Democrats opposed is to release sexual predators on the girls of the United States of America, “Jeffries told journalists on Thursday.

When Jeffries and other Democrats in the Chamber pushed the argument in January, he was not rooted in any language within the bill. Republicans insisted No genital inspection would never be necessary and this proof of birth could simply be determined with a birth certificate.
The bill ended up going to the House by a vote of 218-206. Two democratic representatives, Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez, both from Texas, voted in favor despite the fact that Jeffries and others labeling the bill “The Republican site Child Predator Empowerment Act”.
When the bill reached the Senate earlier this week, no democrat voted in favor of it, and with 45 votes against it, it did not obtain the bill despite 51 Republicans who voted for this.
How transgender in sports changed the 2024 elections and sparked a national counterculture
Several Democratic senators explained why they had not voted for the bill, previously reported PK Press Club Digital, offering a variety of reasons. However, almost none of them reiterated the argument that the bill would allow sexual predators to give young girls genitals.
Those who expressed similar concerns were senator Catherine Cortez Masto, D-NEV, and Senator Dick Durbin, D-IL. In a statement to PK Press Club Digital.
“This general legislation would allow anyone to submit girls to invasive physical examinations just because of their appearance. It is an incredible surpassing of the government and puts young women at risk increased by mistreatment and harassment – something that I spent my career to fight,” said Cortez Masto in a press release.
Durbin added: “It’s so personal, it’s so important and [because of Republicans]We will vote to give someone not specified the right to physically inspect a girl or a young woman if the other opposing team accuses them of being transgender. My God. “”
Shortly after vote in the House in January, some democratic voters left the party in response to the child’s predators’ argument by Jeffries.
Rutgers’ law professor Gary Francione, and some of his Democrats peers in the field of education and law were one of those who left the party.
“It made me very upset because it shouted the lack of integrity, the lack of honesty,” Francione told PK Press Club Digital. “This is the way you fight the battles? Trying to insult other people who oppose you and do not agree with you and insinuate that they are child attackers or pedophiles? It seems to me that you have lost the game. … I don’t know how they will never come back.
“I can say with confidence people that I know who are Democrats to whom I have spoken, the vast majority of them are very unhappy with all of this and think that the party has lost its way. I know a couple who said they were going [leave the party]. “”
President Donald Trump has signed a decree to prohibit the trans -sports athletes from female and girls and has promised to withdraw federal funding from any state that does not comply. California, Minnesota, Massachusetts and Maine are already being studied not to comply.
Trump reaffirmed his intention to punish the states that continue to allow Trans athletes to compete with girls at the address of Tuesday evening to a joint congress session.
The White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt insisted that Trump “will not back down” as these states go.
“The president is committed to ensuring that states are held responsible if they continue to allow men in female sports, which, according to him, is a blatant violation of taxpayers. And, therefore, this fight continues, and the president does not retreat,” said Leavitt.
“This is a common sense policy. Eighty percent of the American people, including more than 60% of the Democrats, do not want men in female sports.”
