Stablecoin transmitter Tether has frozen $ 28 million from the USDT on the Russian Crypto Garantidex.
Guarantex, which was sanctioned by the European Union for links with the Russian government and criminal organizations, temporarily suspended all its services, the exchange on Telegram announced on Thursday.
“Tether entered the war against the Russian cryptography market and blocked our portfolios worth more than 2.5 billion rubles,” said Guarantx.
“Please note that all USDTs held in Russian portfolios are now threatened. As always, we are the first, but not the last,” he added.
