Badin:
A prisoner from the Badin district prison died due to an alleged torture when he was also sick. The 30 -year -old detainee Muhammad Yousuf had been transferred from Badin to the Hyderabad civilian hospital. Before his death, two videos became viral on social networks, in a video that the prisoner accused the prison authorities of having tortured him during the second, he also declared that he was sick and suffered from stomach pain.
The prisoner’s brother Gulab Qamrani also accused the prison administration of torturing Yousuf and said that his brother had fallen ill because of severe physical violence by prison staff and alleged that Yousuf had been subject to brutal torture, which caused his death.
The prison authorities, however, said that the prisoner would have been drug addict and that he was in prison in a drug -related case. They said that he was taken for the first time to the Badin civilian hospital and then moved to Hyderabad civilian hospital because of his condition.
The authorities have denied any allegation of torture, saying that the prisoner died due to his state of health.
Parents, political and social circles in Badin said that torture and corruption reports in the Badin district prison are common. They alleged that the prison authorities had previously submitted several prisoners to torture so as not to have paid them for money.
