A piece of massive ice fell from the sky in the village of 30WB near Wazirabad, causing cracks in the ground and dispersing pieces of ice several meters away.
The unusual incident occurred around noon on Thursday.
The eyewitnesses said that the sky was completely clear, without any signs of stormy time, when the piece of ice suddenly dropped on the agricultural land of the local Tajammul Hussain farmer.
Hussain, who watered his fields at the time, described to see a heavy object falling quickly from above, causing him to flee from fear. A few moments later, a strong impact was heard, resonating several kilometers away, attracting hundreds of villagers on the site.
The former chairman of the market committee, Abdul Hannan Budh, said that the piece of ice was made up of large pieces of frozen equipment, which began to melt in contact with the ground.
The event aroused generalized speculation among the inhabitants, with many questions about its origins.
Experts suggest that such events, although rare, could be attributed to meteorological or scientific phenomena.
Some believe that the object could be a “megacryomet” – a large mass of ice that forms in the atmosphere and falls unpredictable due to unknown factors.
