- The Nacon Revolution X Unlimited controller published next month
- It is compatible with Xbox Series X | S as well as PC and Android devices
- Expect hall effect sticks, swapple components and a NIFTY LCD screen
Nacon’s latest Xbox controller, The Revolution X Unlimited, is now available in pre-order.
In what seems to be an upgrade compared to the original X revolution and the PS5 revolution 5 pro model, the unlimited X revolution is room effect sticks resistant to drift, swapable components (including stick caps, D-PADS and handle weights), and an LCD screen for instant on the personalization of instant on the instant edge.
You can pre -order the controller now on the Nacon store page for $ 199.90 / £ 179.90, which is generally cheaper than the $ 199.99 / £ 199.99 of the Revolution 5. This must be available from April 30, 2025. British people can also provide for Argos if they wish.
I had a brief practical moment with the Revolution X Unlimited during a recent Nacon event in Paris, and although my session was short, I left quite impressed.
The biggest surprise for me was the integrated LCD screen. I am generally not a fan of these on the controllers because I find that they can be too complicated and an unnecessary battery discharge. On the unlimited X revolution, the screen was accessible to pressing a button, its menu was very clean and all the options (such as button mapping and stick sensitivity) were simple and this point.
Made with competitive players in mind, the Revolution X Unlimited will also present dedicated PC and “Shooter Pro” profiles. The first aims to reduce latency to a millisecond on PC via a wired connection and even allows keyboard shortcuts for these remapable buttons (this time found at the top of the pad. The latter completely removes Stick Deadzone, which should in theory should offer improved precision for the best FPS games.
If there is a concern that I have, it would be in the life of the battery. Nacon believes that you will get “a minimum” of 10 hours of battery on a single load, which is the same as the 5 pro revolution. It is not much compared to some of the other best Xbox controllers. However, the Revolution X Unlimited is shipped with a dedicated charging station, offering an easy way to recharge while you are far from your PC or your console.
We have another month and a half until the Revolution X Unlimited outings, but you can expect a complete written criticism here in Techradar Gaming in the near future.
