Google Chrome Enterprise users will now see improved warning labels when connected to a working profile, hope to help them separate personal navigation and work sessions.
The improved interface and brand changes are even more important to clearly separate work and personal profiles.
The change has been announced in an update of the Google Popular Web browser business version, as well as upgraded connection experience and improved reports for administrators.
Chrome Enterprise Warnings
“With the browser playing a more critical role in daily work, it is more important than ever for IT teams to specify to employees that they are connected to a business navigation experience managed and monitored by their company,” wrote Julia Lomakina and Group Product, Hakan Kilic in a blog article.
Managers have explained how companies can use their own brand and logos to personalize the Chrome experience. They also noted that employees can use the browser to understand which additional controls can be in place, imposed by their workplaces.
Lomakina and Kilic have noted that even if the companies decide not to personalize their chromed business, the versions to come will add more features so that work browsers stand out from personal: “employees will receive an indication that they are in a managed working profile environment”.
In recognition of the continuous popularity of hybrid work, the message also highlights the new report features that allow administrators to see managed users connected to platforms such as Windows, Mac, Linux and Android, which is ideal for companies with contribution policies with your own help (byod).
Personalization of the browser with logo support is available for Chrome Enterprise Core, which is available for all businesses at no additional cost. Advanced data protections and profile reports are delivered with the Chrome Enterprise Premium package.
