- Android 16 beta 2.1 would cause major battery to certain users
- Comments published on Reddit complain about the need to charge up to twice a day
- Android 16 should be released at some point between April and June
Android 16 should publish a certain time between April and June this year, and as we get closer to this window, Google continues to deploy beta versions from its latest mobile operating system.
However, these beta versions are always pre -liberation constructions designed to test and test new features, and as such can have unhappy side effects – in fact, a recent android beta 16 seems to hit the batteries of the user phone than expected.
As Android Authority reports, users with Android 16 Beta 2.1 installed reported a serious impact on the battery life due to the update.
A Thread Reddit started by the Official U / Androidbetaprogram account in the Sub-Subdreddit R / Android_beta contains several reports of this battery problem.
The USE U / Jordanl171 said: “The battery life out of 2.1 is much worse than on 2.0 [on the] Pixel 9 Pro ”.
Others complained of unpertified load problems, while a user now deleted said they had been “forced to load twice a day”.
Naturally, this is not the type of change you would like to see with a more recent version of any operating system, but I am not particularly worried about this battery bug.
The beta versions of operating systems are necessarily to have boring or even revolutionary problems from time to time – that is part of the process, and much better for users and developers that these problems are revealed before full exit.
As long as Google follows its community awareness via platforms like Reddit and other social media, I am quite certain that this problem will be resolved before launch, and probably even in a subsequent beta version.
Although I have not been affected myself by this battery change problem – I don’t have a Google Pixel phone and for the moment, you need it to access Android 16 Betas – I don’t think it will always be a red light for anyone looking to update Android 16 on the version.
However, this could be worth jumping this particular construction. Telephone batteries are consumable components, with a maximum lifespan that breaks down over time, so having to recharge more often could have an impact on the longevity of your device.
In any case, I am always delighted that Android 16 arrives at the best Android phones later this year. Let us know what you want to see from the new Android update in the comments below.
