King Charles’ refusal to write a letter could have forced the abdication

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer recently gave Trump a letter from King Charles to the White House.

Trump accepted the monarch to visit Great Britain, making the American president the first political leader elected in modern times to be organized for two state visits to Charles.

The American president immediately opened and read the letter, jokingly verifying that he wore the king’s signature, which he then described as “beautiful” and resisted the cameras.

An article published in the Telegraph said: “The king writing to President Trump inviting him to Great Britain was not because His Majesty wanted it, but because his Prime Minister thought that an invitation was in the national interest.

The article said “once Starmer had told the king his wishes of the ministers, His Majesty had to comply.”

“The king will not be trained in politics. He will follow the advice of his Prime Minister. State visits are a vital part of the soft power. And the soft power is all we have left, ”said Telegraph article cited a main politician.

Il said: “If the king opposed, however, refusing would have precipitated a constitutional crisis – the resignation of the Prime Minister and of the Government, and a general election on the issue. If, after such an election, Starmer remained in office and that the King refuses, it could force an abdication.

The article was read: “Fortunately, no monarch tried to ignore the wishes of his government since the 17th century, which is why the monarchy attracts such respect.”
