- Jio Platforms launches an AI PC based on the cloud, accessible on any device
- Users can create and deploy AI applications through India’s largest telephone network
- Jiobrain business offer will provide automatic learning as a service
The digital division of Reliance Industries, JIO Platforms, would build a personal computer based on the cloud designed to provide computer science from artificial intelligence to masses.
The new system will not require equipment and can be accessible on any device, giving users the possibility of developing and deploying AI high understanding AI applications.
During the Mumbai Tech Week 2025 Mumbai, JIO Infocomm Akash Ambani, the richest person’s son Mukesh Ambani described the next PC cloud as a means of democratizing AI capabilities.
Automatic learning as a service
“We have a consumption application that we will launch shortly. It is a Cloud PC, which is a complete PC in the Cloud, which is accessible in each of your houses but which is really agnostic of the device. No equipment. And you can create high calculation AI applications in addition. And what you can take advantage of is the scope Jio will have, ”said Ambani INC42.
Unlike past efforts such as the One Company Initiative by Child (OLPC), the AI platform based on the JIO cloud forces users to bring their own devices. JIO’s “platform” approach aims to scale AI services to millions of users across India at lower costs.
One of its next business offers, Jiobrain, will provide automatic learning as a service, eliminating the need for companies to invest in expensive infrastructure. “You can simply score on Jiobrain, and we will launch it in the next quarters while we perceive use cases for this,” added Ambani.
JIO also targets 100 million users for Jiotele OS, its Smart TV operating system. As Ambani said, “one of our biggest growth missions in Jio and where we want to have an impact is to connect each house. But with that, we will open as a platform for developers. »»
Calling AI, one of the largest technological revolutions of a life, Ambani predicted that it would help India support economic growth of 10% or more. He also underlined the need for infrastructure, research and talent to position India as a leader in AI. JIO’s parent company, Reliance Group, previously announced its intention to build a new Gigawatt AI data center in Jamnagar – a small town in Gujarat – which it hopes to have operational by 2027.
