The United States increases the travel council for Pakistan at level 3

The American State Department warned its citizen to go to Pakistan due to terrorism and the potential for armed conflict.

Pakistan Travel Advisory Level 3 published by the Bureau of Consular Affairs asked American travelers to reconsider trips to Pakistan. The specific areas mentioned in the opinion include Balutchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) – including the old tribal areas administered by the Federal Government (FATA), the immediate vicinity of the Indian -Pakistani border and the control line.

“Violent extremist groups continue to plot attacks in Pakistan. Local military and police targets.

The US State Department also advised its citizens to stay far from illegal protest demonstrations during their trips to Pakistan, adding: “Local law prohibits protesting or demonstrating without a license. Being close to a demonstration can draw a meticulous examination of the Pakistani security forces.

The safety environment of Pakistan remains fluid, sometimes changing with little or no notice. There are greater security resources and infrastructure in major cities, in particular Islamabad, and security forces in these areas may be more easily able to respond to an emergency compared to other areas of the country, the Council mentioned.

He also said that the Pakistan government restricts the trip to the US government staff working in Pakistan.
