The tension between the Bowler Pro six times Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns has been attenuated. ESPN reported that Garrett and the Browns have entered into an agreement on an extension of a contract which links it to Cleveland in the foreseeable future.
The agreement includes just over $ 123 million in guaranteed money and will pay an average annual annual salary of $ 40 million, according to the report. These figures represent the most money never paid to a non-quarter of the history of the NFL. The Browns have not confirmed the financial conditions of the agreement. However, the franchise announced that the extension of the contract was four years.

If Garrett plays throughout the extension of the contract, he would carry a Browns uniform throughout the 2030 season. Sources told ESPN that a clause without exchange had been registered in the new contract.
The agreement comes just two days after the reports have surfaced by saying that the owner of Browns, Jimmy Haslam, had rejected a request for a meeting with Garrett about his commercial request.

Last month, Garrett informed the Browns of his desire to be exchanged to another team. Garrett then asked to meet Haslam. Instead of sitting with Garrett, he was redirected to the director general of the Browns, Andrew Barry, by Cleveland.com.

In a statement announcing his commercial request, Garrett said he preferred to land with a competitor next season. “The goal was to never go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete and win a super bowl,” he said.
Garrett then doubled these feelings and concluded that they were not “aligned” on the direction of the franchise.
