Salik raises the issue of blocked passports with the Ministry of the Interior

Islamabad:

The Minister of Pakistani and the development of human resources abroad, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, raised the issue of passport blockages for the Pakistani abroad with the Ministry of the Interior.

In a letter to the Ministry of the Interior, Hussain stressed that this is a sensitive question that requires an immediate investigation. He said: “Pakistanis abroad are our assets, and they shouldn’t be harassed.”

The minister expressed his commitment to ensure that the Pakistanis abroad are treated fairly, announcing the creation of facilitation offices to support them.

The intervention of Hussain follows a letter from the office carriers of Pakistan Business Forum France, which complained of the passport blockade. The forum stressed that the staff of Pakistani airports extorted bribes up to 500,000 rupees, forcing travelers to pay in exchange for accelerated documents of documents, which, according to them, could otherwise lead to missed flights.

Pakistan Business Forum France has asked the Minister to restore the confidence of foreign Pakistanis, who were concerned about the situation.
