- The Synseer’s Healthbuds demand “hearing, monitoring of the heart and health” benefits
- An integrated infra and ultrasonic operating system takes your heart rate
- The capture? The price – the more the monthly subscription fees of $ 30 more
Regarding health monitoring features, there is almost nothing that the best smart watches cannot do, but the audio business union aims to be the next fitness competitor, with its new Healthbuds wireless headphones.
Like the new Beats PowerBeats Pro 2, they are equipped with heart and ANC capacities (active noise cancellation), but you also get healthy health technologies (the genre you will only find in Apple Airpods Pro 2.
Synseer’s Healthbuds are launched today (March 10), and although they look innovative on paper, there are a few sockets you need to know – and subscription fees that leave me more questions than answers.
Synseer’s healthbuds claim to pack simultaneous monitoring of the heart and hearing health, which is already a step compared to a number of the best headphones – with the exception of the above -mentioned PowerBeats Pro 2, Sennheiser Momentum Sport and a few others. Healthbuds are designed for monitoring physical condition 24 hours a day, which means that they operate in the background while you take a call or listen to your favorite songs.
Using an integrated infra and ultrasonic operating system to detect changes within the ear, healthbuds are the first Synseer personal health device designed to be an affordable ” option for fitness headphones. I have seen a lot of techniques at scandalously prices, but none of them gets closer to what you are about to discover.
Subscription fees in addition to an already high price?
Healthbuds are available to pre -order now and will start to ship later this summer, and according to Synseer, you will be eligible for a discount if you now lock pre -order. Instead of paying $ 799 (about £ 620 or $ 1,620 in), those pre -order the healthbuds can claim them for $ 399, which is … better, but far from “great value”, the price synseur mentions in his press release.
And that does not even scratch the surface, because in addition to these costs, you will have to pay a monthly subscription of $ 25 (normally $ 30). What additional advantages do they buy, in particular? We are not sure – Synseer has not yet disclosed the details.
This is a large demand – in particular a relatively unknown audio company – to ask for hundreds of dollars for a brand new set of headphones, then stipulate additional monthly costs equivalent to $ 300 per year, at the reduced rate. You expect a fitness subscription to offer advantages such as advanced follow-up of fitness and perhaps the technology of hearing aids, but it seems that Synseer already offers this through the Healthbuds themselves, so that the advantages of subscription remain a mystery. And let’s not forget that Airpods Pro 2 offers specific advantages of the iOS ecosystem such as Find My, the space audio traced by the head using Apple Music (although the music service is not free, it is true) audio sharing and so on when it is associated with your iPhone, all for $ 249.
How can Synseer compete? Will precision be sufficient? If the company’s healthbuds prove to be a reliable health device (something to replace the medical device), then perhaps. It is impossible to say it now. Maybe Synseer has something more in his round, otherwise it could be a case of erroneous pricing. I keep my ears peeled for more information (which is certainly thin on the ground at present), but as things are found, the synchronized has not yet sounded as sincere as you hoped, for this kind of money …
