During a meeting with the president of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured that the government’s commitments would be honored, and all the concerns raised by the PPP would be discussed accordingly, reported Express News.
During the meeting, the PPP delegation raised several key concerns. They expressed objections concerning controversial projects in the canal and highlighted security problems in the Kurram district. The PPP also expressed its dissatisfaction with the lack of relief for flood victims in Balutchistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz reassured the delegation that the government’s commitment to solve channel -related problems, security in Kurram and help people affected by Balutchistan floods would be respected.
In a statement that followed the meeting, Prime Minister Shehbaz praised PPP leaders for its active and dynamic role in satisfying public expectations in all provinces and collaborating with the federal government to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
The PM highlighted the importance of cooperation between federal and provincial governments, as well as all political parties, to ensure a better future for the country.
The PPP delegation included eminent leaders such as the president of the Yusuf Raza Gilani Senate, Naveed Qamar, Raja Pervez Ashraf and other members of the senior party.
