The Philadelphia Eagles will go to the White House at the invitation of President Donald Trump to celebrate their victory of the Super Bowl Lix against the Chiefs of Kansas City last month.
“We sent the invitation and they have enthusiastically accepted. We work with them to determine a date and logistics,” said a White House official at PK Press Club Digital.
A team spokesperson also confirmed to PK Press Club Digital that “the organization of Philadelphia Eagles has accepted an invitation to visit the White House and is currently working to plan a date and logistics”.

There were questions about the question of whether the Eagles would accept an invitation after not having done so in 2018, but Trump told the spectator at the end of last month that the team would visit this time.
“They come here. Philadelphia comes here,” Trump told the point of sale.
Trump also announced the invitation to the team last month.
Eagles to receive the invitation from the White House after the Super Bowl victory, says Trump
“They will be [invited]. We haven’t done it yet, but we will be, “said Trump, who was in the Superdome Caesars to watch the Eagles beat the Chiefs, 40-22.” I thought it was a great performance on their part. Absolutely, they will be extended an invitation. We will do it right away. We will do it a little time today. They deserve to be here, and we hope to see them. “”
Captain of Eagles, Lane Johnson, said that a visit to the White House would be a “team decision” after winning the Super Bowl.
“I would be honored to go there, no matter who the president is, but we will see,” said Johnson via Eric Jackson de Sporto. “It is ultimately a team decision. I will do what is best for the team.”

Johnson, who passed his 12 NFL seasons with the franchise, was part of the team when she won the very first Vince Lombardi trophy in the organization in 2018, defeating the New England Patriots.
However, the controversy followed that year when Trump canceled his invitation to Eagles when some players said they would not visit the White House due to the criticism of the 45th president at the time of those who kneel or lifted his fists during the national anthem to protest against racial injustice and police brutality.
Trump published a statement at the time concerning his invitation cancellation, saying that “the 1,000 fans who plan to attend the event deserve better”.
“They do not agree with their president because he insists that they proudly represent the national anthem, the hand in the soul, in honor of the great men and women of our soldiers and the inhabitants of our country,” read Trump’s declaration seven years ago.

Seven years later, the two parties are ready to celebrate a different victory.
As the two parties have noted, time and logistics must be developed as next steps to visit.
