- The Société de Design Andoandoando has published a wrist watch inspired by the Platinum
- Design is inspired by classic techniques SL-1200
- The shipment deploys in April, but the collection is limited to only 30 pieces
The Société de Design Andoandoando takes the Funky Bop Bop from Hamilton Brothers Music turns the world Very seriously in its next version of Wrist Watches, which is one of the best turntables in the world. The last creative company of the company takes the legendary DJ turnable, The Technics SL -1200, and reinvents it as an automatic wrist watch for music and vinyl fans – which makes it the smallest plate that I have ever seen (although the one that cannot really turn an air), and it’s a bit adorable.
Propelled by Miyota 9039 Premium automatic movement, the watch is a small replica of the legendary DJ brochure which uses a tiny vinyl recording as a clock face. His attention to details is admirable, going to the distance to avoid including numbers in his design and instead of a distinct point model to indicate the hours, minutes and seconds. And again, no, he can’t run real vinyl records or play music of any kind, but it would be very impressive, right?
It is a unique vision of a classic deck (and a chance to wear your heart in love with your analog on your wrist), but it can take a while to go to the deciphering of real time – and its designer, Yu Ando, is apparently agree. When you refer to the hand of the watch in the description of the online product, Ando writes: “Yes, it is not straight, it does not point (towards) the marker right, but you can therefore interpret it in your own way”. Ok – I always want one.
The minute hand is designed to reproduce the reading of the platinum, hence its slightly folded shape, and seated above the vinyl disc are two rotating discs; A large with the letter “A” which points to the current time, and a smaller which shows the seconds of the past, which can be difficult to read – although Ando has declared that when the text on the disc is level and return to its original position, which indicates that the second zero began.
The watch is available to pre -order now and is available in three different finishes; Red, black and silver, or gold and black for $ 438 (which is about £ 350 or $ 697 in), or a completely more expensive version more expensive at $ 455. The shipment will be processed in April, but according to the Andoandoando website, there will only be 30 pieces designed for this edition – it is therefore a very limited race.
