Leaders condemn the assault against train passengers

Islamabad:

The management of the country, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, firmly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express in Balutchistan and appreciated the security forces for their effective and timely response.

The president praised the value of the security forces for saving the passengers of Jaffar Express and said that attacks on civilians and innocent passengers were inhuman and condemnable acts. The president said that no religion or society authorized such repugnant acts.

The Baloutche nation firmly opposed the elements that had taken unarmed passengers, alumni and hostage children, he said, according to a press release from the press wing of the president of the secretariat. The president prayed for the early recovery of those who were injured during the attack.

Prime Minister Shehbaz, according to a separate press release published from the Prime Minister’s office, said the security officers and the terrorists were courageously eliminated during the current response.

“Despite difficult terrain, the morale of the security forces is high and they repel loose terrorists with their action in a timely manner,” said Shehbaz. He expressed hope that the security operation would soon be successful and that the terrorists would be eliminated.

Shehbaz said that inhuman terrorists, who launched the loose assault on Jaffar Express at the Dhadhar Bolan Pass deserved no concession. “Terrorists are the enemies of the Progress and Development of the province of Balutchistan,” he said.

“The targeting of the innocent passengers in the holy and blessed month of Ramazanul Mubarak clearly proves that terrorists have nothing to do with Islam, Pakistan and Balutchistan,” he added. He swore that the fight against terrorism would continue until the country’s spectrum.

Any plot to spread chaos and anarchy in the country would be thwarted, he continued, stressing that the government would never allow the enemies of the nation to succeed in their harmful creations. “In this fight against terrorism, the whole nation is on the shoulder with the security forces.”

Earlier, approaching this meeting of the federal cabinet, Shehbaz dilated on a resurgence of terrorism in the country and recognized that the law forces (Lea) alongside the armed forces made major sacrifices daily.

“Without complete peace, the dream of development and prosperity is elusive. The valiant police, the armed forces and the rangers renders the ultimate sacrifices and the nation will have to remember,” said the Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, the Minister of the Interior Mohin Naqvi condemned the incident, saying: “The animals that shoot on the innocent passengers do not deserve any concession”. The Minister of Sindh, Ziaul Hassan Lanjar, also strongly condemned the incident.

“The heinous plans of anti-national and anti-social elements will never be allowed to be authorized,” he said in a press release. “The Sindh government is held with the Balutchistan government. He hoped that the police and other leashes will master this situation.

The president of the Senate Yousuf Raza Gilani and the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq declared in their distinct declarations according to which those who aimed at innocent civilians were not only enemies of the nation but of humanity itself.

They strongly condemned the loose attempt to undermine peace and stability of the country and stressed that such anti-states are treated firmly and decisively. They said that the perverse conceptions of enemies would do it by thwarting.

“The attack on passengers in Dhadar is a crime against humanity and officials should be seriously punished.” Said Gilani. “Terrorists cannot shake up national determination with such cowardly acts. The nation is united and the bad intentions of enemies will be crushed,” he added.

He reaffirmed his full support for the security forces and called for effective measures to eliminate elements seeking to destabilize the country. “The nation is united with the families of passengers during this difficult period,” he added.

The former president of the Senate, Sadiq Sanjrani, also strongly condemned the attack by Jaffer Express, saying that targeting unarmed passengers during the sacred month was a loose act. “The government and the security forces work for the safe return of hostages,” said Sanjrani.

The chief minister of Balutchistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, confirmed that the pressure on the activists was maintained. “Total efforts are made to ensure the unscathed recovery of each passenger. The security forces work tirelessly to control the situation,” he said in a statement.
