The Pakistani senior tennis player Talha Waheed officially entered the world records Guinness, establishing a new reference for the most successful tennis in one minute (man).
Veteran competitor of national and international tennis, Talha has won several national titles in the categories of 35, 40+ and 45+ double.
Internationally, he participated in global ITF senior classification tournaments, reaching a high career ranking of 144 in the 40+ double category.
Talha undertook to exceed the previous 42 successful record in one minute, held by John Perry of the United States since 2019. Following an intensive three-month training program, he made his official attempt on November 8, 2024, in Lahore, joining the Guinness World Records directives.
On March 10, 2025, Guinness World Records confirmed Talha’s realization, officially recognizing him as the new world record holder.
The president of the Pakistani Tennis Federation (PTF), Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi, with the secretary general of Colonel Zia-Din Tufail and other PTF officials, congratulated Talha for his milestone.
“Talha’s realization is unique, and secure a place in the Guinness Record book is not an easy task,” said Qureshi. “It will serve as great inspiration and a major boost for tennis in Pakistan.”
