It is important to note that the Jaffar Express, which went from Quetta to Peshawar, was attacked yesterday, with 500 passengers taken hostage. As part of an authorization operation, 27 terrorists were killed and 155 passengers were released.

The train, which left Quetta at 9:30 am, was dismissed by unknown armed attackers near the areas of Gaddalar and Piru Kanri. The attack left the driver of the gravely injured train, and then succumbed to his injuries.

According to security sources, the operation against terrorists is still underway and suicide bombers have used women and children as shields.

These bombers would hold women and children hostage in three different places, which would cause prudent measures taken during the operation.

Earlier, the country’s management, including President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, firmly condemned the terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express in Balutchistan and appreciated the security forces for their effective and timely response.

Meanhwile, Quetta’s train services to other regions of the country were interrupted following a terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express.
