Washington: A new survey reveals that Americans are divided on Donald Trump treatment of the economy, with a majority concerned about the fact that its unpredictable policies, including aggressive import prices, could affect financial stability.
Some 57% of Americans think that President Donald Trump is too erratic in his measures to shake the American economy, including his aggressive strategy to tax imports that have frightened the stock market, a Reuters / Ipsos The survey that closed on Wednesday found.
A third of the respondents said that Trump’s shares were not too erratic and that 11% were not sure or had not responded. About one in three republicans said Trump’s actions were too erratic.
Admittedly, 79% of the Republicans of the two -day survey said that they agreed with a statement that Trump’s actions on the economy “will be paid in the long term”, a sign that some people from Trump’s party do not like his style of governance but agree with the substance of his policies.
Forty -one percent of respondents overall – and only 5% of Democrats – said Trump’s policies would ultimately pay off.
Some 70% of survey respondents – including nine out of 10 and six out of 10 Republicans – said they expected higher races and other regular regular purchases.
Some 61% of survey respondents said Trump’s absolute priority should be reintegration of rising prices.
The survey questioned 1,422 American adults on a national scale and had an error margin for all respondents of 3 percentage points.
