Foreign Office (FO) accused India of being behind the deadly terrorist attack against the Jaffar Express in Balutchistan.
During his weekly briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the Foreign Office (FO) spokesman Shafqat Ali Khan confirmed that the rescue operation after the Jaffar Express attack had been successfully completed.
He also revealed that the intelligence reports indicated that the terrorists involved were in contact with their partners in Afghanistan during the operation.
The declaration comes after the security forces carried out a two -day operation to neutralize the terrorists who had diverted the Jaffar Express.
The event started on Tuesday when separatist activists set an ambush at the Jaffar Express en route de Quetta in Peshawar, exploding the railway and attacking the train with rockets.
In a statement today, FO spokesperson reiterated Pakistan’s concerns about terrorist groups using Afghan soil as a basis for cross-border attacks. “We have repeatedly asked the Afghan temporary government to prevent organizations like the Bla to operate within its borders,” said Khan.
Pakistan previously shared evidence with the Afghan authorities concerning militant shelters. While tensions between the two neighbors persist, Islamabad insists that cooperation against terrorism remains a priority.
After the operation, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, the military spokesman, revealed that 21 hostages had lost their lives during the confrontation of a day.
However, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) firmly declared that no civilian had been injured during the final rescue operation carried out by the armed forces.
“Today, we have released a large number of people, including women and children … The final operation was carried out with great care,” he said, adding that no civilians had been killed in the operation. The security forces had released the “Bogey in Bogey,” he said.
According to the CEO ISPR, the attack occurred in a distant and difficult to access area. He said that the rescue operation had been launched immediately, the army, the Air Force and the Participant Corps (FC). “Today, SSG [Special Service Group] The staff also participated, “he added.
According to the ISPR declaration, the terrorists included suicide bomber. “Tragically, during the scene of this intense impasse, the terrorists took the live of 21 innocent hostages, before the start of the customs clearance operation,” continued the press release.
“In addition, 4 soldiers from Brave Security Forces made the ultimate sacrifice and kissed Shahadat. Their altruistic actions have saved countless lives and prevented a new disaster,” he added.
