The founder of the PTI, Imran Khan, challenged the notification of the transfer of judges before the Supreme Court.
A petition against the transfer of judges to the IHC was filed under article 184, paragraph 3, of the Constitution. The petition argued that the notification of the transfer of judges to the IHC is illegal and unconstitutional; Therefore, the notification is declared empty. He also asked the court to adopt an order, ordering to guarantee the independence of the judiciary in the midst of the transfer of judges.
The request asked the court to give an order to implement the defined principles described by the court in the Trust al-Jihad case.
