Islamabad:

On Wednesday, the president of the Pakistan Pakistan Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s party president suggested that the government suggested that the government introduce the second phase of the National Plan of Action Plan (NAP) to counter the evolutionary threat of terrorism.

“We have approved the nap, fought terrorism in the four provinces and declared that we had broken the terrorists, said the president of the PPP by speaking on the word of the National Assembly.

Earlier, the president of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq suspended routine activities of the Chamber on Thursday and launched a debate on the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express. The request in suspension of the agenda was moved by the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, who was approved by the Chamber.

The National Assembly also offered Fateha for the souls of the four Martyred Security Staff and others during the attack on the Jaffar Express.

Bilalwal said: “Today, we go through an even more dangerous phase than before. Unlike the past, we do not have the unity and the political consensus that have made us success.”

“The enemies of Pakistan and its oppressed benefit from our lack of unity,” he added

Referring to recent attacks, Bilawal said: “These terrorists have no ideology. Their objective is to destabilize Pakistan and target innocent citizens.”

The president of the PPP called for national unity and political consensus to effectively fight terrorism in the country.

He said Pakistan has paid a high price in its fight against terrorism, with sacrifices made by all segments of society, political leaders, ordinary citizens, military officers and police staff.

“There is no section of the company that has not made sacrifices in this struggle,” he said. He recalled at home the unity demonstrated by the nation following the Peshawar tragedy of the 2014 army public school (APS). “Despite our political differences, be it the policy of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) or other parties, we have put aside our agendas to prioritize national interest,” he said.

Strongly condemning recent terrorist attacks, in particular Balutchistan, he said that the authors were trying to destabilize Pakistan and derail its development.

“These terrorists, who claim to fight for rights and independence, in fact obstruct the development of the country and play in the hands of the international forces that have settled in destruction,” he said.

Bilawal questioned the motivations behind the attacks on innocent civilians, citing the recent tragedy involving passengers on the Jaffar Express.

Invoking all political parties to put aside their differences, Bilawal has proposed a program to one point to overcome terrorism. He underlined the need for collaboration between all stakeholders, offering the cooperation of his party.

“If there are gaps in our provincial governments or our leadership, tell us that we are ready to join our hands and fight this threat together,” he added.

“We did it before when Nawaz Sharif was Prime Minister, and we can do it again under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.”

Bilawal called for the Revue du Plan d’Action National (NAP). “There is no reason why Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif cannot reset a full national action plan, as we have done in the past,” he said.

“Simple meetings are not enough. We need decisive action, unity and consensus, as we have demonstrated when the PPP was in power.”

At the start of the session, the government and the opposition exchanged beards over the Balutchistan train tragedy, both sides of the alley mutually blame for the terrorist attack which left more than two dozen deaths.

However, in a rare demonstration of unity, the National Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution condemning the diversion of Jaffer Express.

Speaking, the Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif criticized the false story of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI) on the terrorist attack of Jaffar Express, accusing the social media platforms of the party of deformation of the tragic incident and undergoing national unity. The minister expressed deep pain in the loss of innocent lives in the attack, stressing that such tragedies cause immense grief, which is still aggravated by the propagation of disinformation.

“The whole nation saw how PTI’s social media interpreted the incident,” said Khawaja Asif. “Instead of recognizing the bravery and the sacrifice of our armed forces, they promoted a false story, saying that the terrorists themselves released the hostages.” He allegedly alleged that this deceptive story had been disseminated by accounts affiliated with the Verified PTI, in particular those exploited by supporters living abroad. Without naming individuals, Khawaja Asif criticized those who, according to him, fled the country but continued to calm the national institutions from abroad.

Asif also underlined the irony of the leaders of the PTI, many of whom, according to him, were products of past martial law.

“Some of those who point their fingers today were the beneficiaries of three martial laws in our history,” he added. “Their ancestors have repealed the Constitution and deprived the nation of its democratic rights.”

Asif admitted that his party had supported a military regime in the past. “I apologized several times in this same house, and I do it still today. But at least we have the decency to recognize our past errors,” he said.

He underlined the need for political leaders to recognize collectively and learn historic errors for the nation to move forward.

Pti Mna Asad Qaiser condemned the train tragedy, adding that the Minister of Defense leveled allegations on PTI instead of taking the house with confidence.

In a tit-form response to Asif, the former speaker said he was obsessed with PTI when he said PTI during his speech more than Balutchistan. If there had been a little shame in him, he would have resigned from his post, said Qaiser. Sentenceing the train misappropriation incident, the PTI chief asked how the country would present themselves if people with a public mandate are confined to prison and those who have a false mandate are seated at home. The biggest problem in the country is security and everything occurs due to the incompetence of the asif, said the head of the PTI.

MQM MNA Dr Farooq Sattar said it was necessary to review the national action plan. He urged the Prime Minister to summon the APC on the tragedy of Jaffar Express to determine the national agenda. He asked political parties to evolve a strategy with consensus to deal with the threat of terrorism.
