- The Dataiku report finds that three CEOs out of four are worried about job loss due to bad AI strategies
- The EU law has confused leaders of European companies
- Dataiku calls for greater control and governance
Although many workers fear that artificial intelligence will be able to dive and take their jobs, new research has revealed the opposite – CEOs fear losing their jobs if they did not use AI.
A Dataiku report revealed that three -quarters (74%) of CEOs fear losing their jobs within two years if they do not provide measurable commercial gains focused on AI, with more than half (54%) of the opinion that a competitor has already implemented a better AI strategy.
However, Dataiku has also revealed widespread concerns concerning the AI Act, which made European companies hesitate to implement the AI.
CEOs understand that they must implement AI strategies
Regulatory uncertainty has even been observed leading to project cancellations, affecting 40% of French companies and 33% of German companies. Only out of five companies (20%) in the United Kingdom were affected, with almost one in four CEOs with an official AI roadmap for next year – double the world average and five times the German rate, which put the country ahead of the others.
Companies such as Salesforce and AWS largely bet on agency AI also seem to be in good place, with almost all (94%) CEO admitting that AI agents could provide equal or better commercial advice than a member of the human board of directors.
However, it is not always a question of deploying AI for significant purposes, with more than a third (35%) of AI initiatives which should be “washing the AI”.
Dataiku also noted the impacts that mediocre and delayed strategies could have on safety, 94% of CEOs suspected employees using Genai tools like Chatgpt without approval of the company.
“For the CEOs today, each AI decision looks like a broken challenge bet that can lead to competitive domination or lead to expensive consequences,” said Florian Douetteau, CEO of Dataiku. “The only way to transform AI into a lasting advantage is to assert higher control and governance.”
