Representative Eric Burlison (R-MO) wrote a letter to the MLB commissioner Rob Manfred, declaring his conviction that Trevor Bauer had been ostracized the league because of his support for Trump.
Bauer was suspended for 324 games in 2021 for breaking the joint policy of domestic violence, sexual assault and children’s abuse. His suspension was reduced to 194 (representing the time he missed in 2021 during his administrative leave and all the 2022 season), but he has always been released by the Los Angeles Dodgers before the start of the 2023 season. Consequently, he played professionally in Japan in 2023 and Mexico in 2024.
The majority of Bauer’s legal problems are behind him, and has maintained his innocence, settling down with an accuser while another is in 16 -year -old prison after being accused of fraud after taking on pregnancy and asking for money from Bauer for abortion.

However, it’s been almost four full years that Bauer took an MLB mound for the last time, and Burlison takes the MLB in hand to find out why.
“Mr. Bauer was suspended for 324 games; the longest lifeless suspension in the history of the League, despite the fact that the Los Angeles County prosecutor’s office refused to continue criminal accusations against him, citing insufficient evidence …”. “Burlison wrote.
“Since no legal action has been taken against Mr. Bauer, I fear that his absence will be linked to certain political statements he has made which divergent from the orthodoxy of the dominant league, as well as the declarations which he criticized for the MLB and in particular you. By responding to an article on social networks, noted his conviction that other human beings should not be tolerated, The diversity of the MLB, to equity and inclusion (DEI).

“Given the moment and the severity of Mr. Bauer’s suspension, it is reasonable to wonder if the actions of the MLB have been more influenced by its political positions and its criticisms as [Manfred] and MLB only by the allegations against him, which has since been undermined by judicial control and gaps. “”
Bauer, who said once “may have no other choice” than to continue the League for his evidence, told PK Press Club Digital in an interview sitting last year that he had never done anything “criminally” but that he had to look in the mirror and work on himself after the allegations.
“Whoever is ready to sit with me and listen to: I would like to play the second half of my career in the best way I played in the first half,” Bauer told PK Press Club Digital. “I would like to be an example that you can make mistakes, recognize them, adjust it and then be better in the future. I think it is something that we, humans, must do and should do constantly.”
