Cooper Kupp, MVP of the Super Bowl 2022, would have agreed to sign with the Seattle Seahawks after being released by the rival of the Los Angeles Rams division earlier this week. The Kupp agreement is said to be three years and $ 45 million.
Kupp is headed for his original state, in Washington, to team up with the new quarter of Seattle, Sam Darnold, and will fill a void left by the departure of DK Metcalf, which was exchanged at the Pittsburgh Steelers last week.
Kupp revealed that in a social media position last month, the Rams “immediately sought a job and worked with me and my family to find the right place to continue to compete for the championships”.
However, no trading partner was found, so he was released.

Kupp admitted that he did not “agree with the decision and always believed that it was going to begin and end to”
Kupp, who will be 32 years old in June, has been hampered by injuries since the recording of a triple reception crown in 2022 and won the MVP of the Super Bowl. He has only played 33 of the 51 possible games in the last three seasons. And although he was productive, he took a rear seat in Puka Nacua.

Kupp was a third round choice of Rams in 2017 Eastern Washington.
During his 2022 season, he captured 145 passes for 1,947 yards and 16 affected. Since then, he has taken for 2,259 yards and 17 scores.

His 710 reception yards last year were his lowest since the implementation of 566 in 2018, one season in which he missed half of the matches. He has not played in more than 12 games since this campaign in 2022 and has also not overshadowed the 1,000 yards mark since then.
“I took so much pride to play alongside my teammates for the Los Angeles community, so thank you for kissing my family and making us such a special place for us,” Kupp said on social networks last month. “2024 started with one of the best training camps in my career. The preparations are now starting for 2025. Very motivated, as healthy as ever, and I can’t wait to play elite football for the years to come. Like … But coming for everything.”
Kupp joins the wide receiver ascendant Jaxon Smith-Migba in Seattle, and Darnold will obtain a regular veteran on which will be based in his first season in Seattle.
