Pakistani security forces have killed nine terrorists in two separate intelligence operations (IBOS) in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), according to inter-service public relations (ISPR).
The first operation, carried out in the Mohmand district, followed intelligence reports indicating the presence of activists. During the operation, the security forces engaged activists on their location, leading to the death of seven terrorists.
However, two Pakistani soldiers, Havildar Muhammad Zahid, 37, from Malakand, and Sepoy Aftab Ali Shah, 26, of Chitral, were killed in the shock.
The ISPR paid tribute to the soldiers who broke down, declaring that they “made the ultimate sacrifice and kissed Shahadat” (martyr) in the exercise of his functions.
In a separate operation in the region of Maddi in the District of Dera Ismail Khan, the security forces engaged in a shooting with activists, killing two other terrorists.
The ISPR reported that weapons and ammunition had been recovered from activists, who would be involved in multiple terrorist activities.
The current disinfection operations are underway to eliminate the remaining terrorists from the region.
