Meanwhile, in Karak, activists have launched coordinated attacks on the Takht-E-Nasrati and Thana Khurram police station using heavy weapons. District police officer (DPO) Shehbaz Ilahi said the police managed to push the two attacks.
However, an officer was martyred during the first attack. Police reprisals forced the attackers to escape, he added.

Earlier, police reported attacks on six police stations and control posts in Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Tank in the early hours of Saturday. The officials said that no victim had been reported because the cops were alert and that they pushed all the attacks with the support of the local population.
Attacks are involved in the continuation of increased militant activities in the country, in particular KP and Balutchistan, the provinces that led to Afghanistan in Taliban election.
The two nations share a porous border extending over around 2,500 kilometers with several cross points which have a meaning as a key element of regional trade and relations between people on both sides of the fence.
The country experienced a sharp increase in terrorist attacks in January 2025, increasing by 42% compared to the previous month, according to data published by Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICSS), a reflection group.
Islamabad has again exhorted Kabul not to authorize its territory to be used by terrorist groups to carry out attacks against Pakistan – vehemently denied by the administration led by Afghan Taliban.
The diplomatic effort is associated with kinetic measures in progress against the terrorists by security forces who continue to engage in operations, eliminating a certain number of activists and thwarting multiple attempts at infiltration.
However, the question of terrorism remains a key problem for Pakistan which urged Afghanistan to prevent its soil from being used by groups such as Tehreek-E-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to carry out attacks within the territory of the old.
Islamabad’s reserves have also been confirmed by a report subject to the United Nations Security Council (USC) by the Supervisory Supervisory and Analytical Sanctions Team which revealed a link between Kabul and TTP, training provides logistical, operational and financial support to the latter.
