Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Intelligence Bureau (IB) for having moved a large trafficking network and arrested his key suspect, Usman Jajja on Sunday.
During a television meeting with agency officials, ministers and interior secretary, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that such operations would help to eradicate human smuggling in Pakistan.
“Black activity in human trafficking has damaged Pakistan’s reputation, and many citizens have lost their lives in tragic boats incidents near Italy and Morocco,” said Prime Minister Shehbaz.
The Prime Minister awarded shields of appreciation and financial incentives to officials who played a key role in repression. He urged the organizations responsible for the application of laws to intensify efforts to limit traffic networks and maintain the image of Pakistan on a global scale.
The FIA and the IB informed the Prime Minister of the Arrest of traffickers and their facilitators, describing the measures taken to prevent illegal migration.
The authorities have intensified operations against smuggling networks following an international examination on the role of Pakistan in human trafficking ways.
