The member of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, the convoy, was targeted during a shooting attack in Ghotki, which led to the death of one of his security agents and left three other wounded.
According to Ghotki police, the incident occurred earlier during the day near Link Road Kanjho, near Batri Wahi, in the jurisdiction of the Kanjho police station.
The armed attackers targeted the vehicle of the MPA Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, although the MPa remained unscathed during the attack.
Following the dismissal, the security guard of Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar, Zafar Dahar, was killed. Three other people, including close partners Asad Shah, driver Akhtar Pathan and Chaniyar Dondho, were injured.
After the attack, the SSP Ghotki Dr Samiullah Soomro and the DSP Obauro Abdul Qadir Soomro, as well as a heavy police contingent, quickly arrived on the scene and completed the region.
The injured were immediately transported to Dahrki hospital for medical treatment, and a strict research operation was launched in the surroundings.
In a statement, the Sindh -Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, condemned the attack and led Sindh’s Inspector General (IG) of the police to ensure the immediate arrest of the authors.
The spokesman for the Minister of the Chief added that Murad Ali Shah also expressed his condolences on the incident and wished the rapid recovery of the injured.
