Special courts will be established in Islamabad to approach disputes involving Pakistani abroad, under the 2024 law abroad,

According to Express News, these courts aim to accelerate the resolution of disputes for Pakistanis abroad. The acting chief judge of the High Court of Islamabad led the training of these special courts.

The acting chief judge granted the power to appoint judges to the judges of session. In this regard, the registrar of the High Court of Islamabad wrote a letter to the Secretary of Law and Justice, declaring that the session judges for the special courts of the East and the West abroad will be appointed.

The letter also specifies that the matters pending and the experience of the justice officers should be taken into account when the judges for the session courts are appointed.

The letter also mentioned that by virtue of the law on properties abroad, the ministry of the Law will issue the notifications necessary for the courts of the Eastern and West sessions.

In addition, a special bench was trained before the High Court of Islamabad under the 2024 law on properties abroad to hear affairs related to the goods of Pakistani abroad.

Judge Khadim Hussain Soomro will hear affairs and calls related to the property of Pakistani abroad. The notification in this regard was issued by the assistant registrar, with the approval of the acting chief.

Previously, in October, the Pakistan Senate approved a bill to establish special courts to resolve the real estate disputes of the Pakistani abroad. The bill, presented by Chaudhry Salik Hussain, requires that these courts govern business within 90 days.

Earlier, the Minister of Finance and Income, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, provided a full update on the country’s economic progress, highlighting increased fundraising, the growing confidence of investors and improved results of institutional reforms.

“The influx of record funds for February 2025 has reached an impressive $ 3.1 billion. We estimate a background at 36 billion dollars at the end of the financial year,” he said at a press conference alongside the Minister of Information, Radiation and Culture Attaulah Tarar.

Expressing his gratitude to the Pakistani diaspora, which he described as “the rescue buoy of our country”, Aurangzeb recognized their invaluable contribution to the economy.
