Islamabad:

Pakistan rejected on Monday the allegation of the first Indian Mininsiter Narendra Moda according to which Islamabad “responded with hostility” to its peace openings in the past, warning that such a story has vitiated the bilateral environment.

Responding to the remarks made by the Indian Prime Minister during a podcast, the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Shafqat Ali Khan, said that the anti-Pakistani account, emanating from India, had hindered the prospects for peace and cooperation and that he must stop.

In the podcast with an American computer scientist, published on Sunday, Modi alleged that “each attempt to promote peace with Pakistan has encountered hostility and betrayal” and that he hoped that “wisdom would prevail over leadership in Islamabad” to improve bilateral ties.

“The remarks are misleading and unilateral,” said the spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They conveniently omit the dispute of Jammu-et-Cachemire, which remains unresolved during the last seven decades despite the solemn insurance from India to the United Nations, in Pakistan and the Kashmir people, “he added.

Khan pointed out that India’s fictitious account on the victim could not hide his involvement in fomental terrorism on Pakistan soil and the oppression sanctioned by the State in Jammu-et-Cachemire in the Indian State (IIOJK).

“Instead of blaming the others, India should reflect on its own orchestration file for targeted assassinations, subversion and terrorism in foreign territories,” he said.

The spokesman said that Pakistan had always recommended constructive commitment and results-based dialogue to resolve all unanswered problems, including the basic dispute in Jammu-et-Cachemire. “However, peace and stability in South Asia remained hostage to the rigid approach of India and hegemonic ambitions.”
