The police thwart several terrorist attacks in KP

While Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is struggling with an increase in terrorist attacks, the security forces held the line on Monday, pushing the attackers to Lakki Marwat, Peshawar and Khyber in separate incidents.

In Lakki Marwat, a group of 10 to 15 heavily armed activists tried to attack the Gambila police station. However, the police retaliated with force, pushing the attackers.

Lakki Marwat DPO Mohammad Jawad Ishaq confirmed that the timely response prevented a major assault, forcing activists to flee with their weapons.

Meanwhile, in Peshawar, terrorists launched a grenade attack on a police checkpoint, while another group opened fire at a Khyber police check on Bypass Road, injuring two staff members.

The injured police were immediately moved to a hospital, while the attackers fled after suffering injuries in the fire fires.

A separate attack was also reported to the Jamrud FC control point, where terrorists are engaged in a fire exchange with FC Bara Rifles staff. The attackers managed to escape under the cover of darkness after intense shots.

Meanwhile, the security forces killed two terrorists in a joint operation by the Department of Terrorism (CTD) and the Bannu police following an attack on a police officer.

Earlier in the day, armed motorcycylists set an ambush with the lower head Arman Khan on Miranshah Road, killing him on the spot before escaping.

In response, RPO Bannu, DPO Bannu and SP CTD launched an information based on information near Baran Bridge.

As soon as the police teams approached, activists opened fire, which prompted the security forces to retaliate. A 30 -minute gunshot battle, causing the murder of two terrorists.

Authorities have seized weapons from killed activists and their bodies was transferred to the hospital for identification.
