Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to undertake an official visit to Saudi Arabia from March 19 to 22, aimed at strengthening bilateral links, stimulating economic cooperation and exploring investment opportunities.
Accompanied by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar, as well as the main federal ministers and senior officials, the Prime Minister will meet the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed Bin Salman to discuss the improvement of trade, the deepening of partnerships in the key sectors and the facilitation of more important economic collaboration.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussions will cover global and regional issues, including the situation of Gaza, the evolution of dynamics in the Middle East and the concerns of the Ummah Muslim.
The visit should strengthen historical links between the two nations and increase diplomatic coordination on bilateral, regional and global issues.
Prime Minister Shehbaz visited the kingdom for the last time in December of last year, where he approached the “water summit” and proposed a global program of six points to meet water -related challenges.
During his speech, Sharif also underlined the serious difficulties induced by climate change facing developing countries, highlighting the need for collaborative solutions to ensure sustainable water management worldwide.
On the sidelines of the summit, the PM met the Saudi crown prince Mohammed Bin Salman. The two leaders discussed the means of bringing a qualitative change in their bilateral relationship and expressed their satisfaction with the progress of protectors and agreements signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In addition to his meeting with the Saudi management, Prime Minister Sharif had interviews with French President Emmanuel Macron.
The two leaders have agreed to improve business cooperation in business in key sectors, including agriculture, livestock, information technology, vocational training and access to drinking water.
