The Department of School Teaching and Literacy (SELD) Sindh announced vacation on Saturday March 22, respecting Youm-E-Hazrat Ali (RA).
According to a notification published Tuesday, all public and private schools and colleges in the Sindh will remain closed that day (Ramazan 21).
The notification, which was also shared on X, cited the decision taken during the meeting of the subcommittee of the Education Committee of Education held on November 28, 2024.
He declared that all educational institutions under the administrative control of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of the Sindh, will remain closed on March 22, 2025 for Youm-E-Hazrat Ali (RA).
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslims observe Youm-E-Ali (RA) with devotion, while the authorities have implemented strict security measures to ensure public security.
In Karachi, the central procession will start at the Nishtar Park and will end at Imambargah Hussainia in Kharadar, with embezzlement of traffic in place.
In addition, the government has deployed additional surveillance cameras to improve security. In Islamabad, the main procession will start from Imambargah Qasar Zainabya.
