In the midst of a recent increase in attacks, Balutchistan ordered the closure of three universities in the province due to security problems. Two universities of the provincial capital, Quetta, were closed indefinitely last week, while a third party went to virtual learning on Tuesday, according to a provincial administration official, who asked for anonymity.

The decision to temporarily close the universities was taken after an in -depth examination of the security situation, the official said. “It was decided to go to virtual learning until further notice due to security problems.”

The campuses will remain closed until at least after Eidul Fitr, at only two weeks, when a decision to reopen will be made, added the manager. In response to the climbing of violence, security in Quetta has intensified, with additional security forces deployed and additional control points implemented throughout the city.

This follows a series of attacks by Baloutque separatists, including an assault on a train with more than 400 passengers last week, which led to a two -day seat and dozens of deaths. On Sunday, a suicide attack transmitted by a vehicle killed at least five members of paramilitary staff.

The attacks were claimed by the Liberation Army Balutch (Bla), one of the many separatist groups who accuse foreigners of exploiting the natural resources of Balutchistan, in particular near the borders with Afghanistan and Iran.
