- Apple’s first foldable device could have impressive autonomy
- It is according to a new rumor that details Apple’s latest efforts
- It would compete with the best foldable of Samsung on the life of the battery life
Apple’s first foldable device seems to be on the way – we have learned another rumor confirming that today – and now a new detail has emerged that could help Apple compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.
According to a Chinese leak known as the expert name of the phone chip (via macrumors), Apple has removed all stops to increase the efficiency of its foldable screen. This could give it an advantage against the best foldable phones in what is a highly competitive market.
To achieve this, the telephone chip expert says that Apple reduced the integrated circuit of the 28 Nm bill to 16 nm. It is a massive reduction and could have a significant impact on the life of the battery.
Apple likes to promise that its devices are delivered with a “battery life all day” and when you are dealing with a large screen as on a foldable product, the battery life is essential. This makes the claim of the expert in the phone chip seems credible at first glance.
The battery life all day long
A movement like this has a lot of meaning. After all, a foldable iPhone or MacBook will have a much larger display than its non -repressable brothers and sisters, and all this property can become terribly swallowed. This is something we have seen in other foldable devices such as the Asus Zenbook 17 fold, which failed to impress us with their mediocre autonomy.
Apple is supposed to build both a foldable iPhone and a MacBook-Ipad hybrid with a foldable screen. In the case of the old one, it is likely to compete directly with the next Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, which obtains the same battery capacity as the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
That said, Samsung apparently works to make its foldable screen more efficient, so it will be fascinating to see which device comes out in mind here.
For the moment, most of this is limited to the country of rumors, but it should be noted that the expert in the telephone chip has a reasonably solid assessment concerning the rumors of Apple.
They properly predicted that Apple build its own servers to execute Apple Intelligence and that the iPhone 15 would continue to use the Bionic Puce A15 instead of the new A16 chip, among other claims.
This does not mean that the latter rumor is nailed to happen, however. Various sources have said that Apple’s first foldable device could arrive in 2026 or 2027, so we will have to wait until then to judge the battery life of the first Apple foldable product.
