HP has made things happen during its 2025 AMPLIFY event, revealing new AI laptops and changing brand names in order to make them easier to understand for buyers. The company offers “i” or “a” versions of its laptops AI, so that you can say at a glance if a device has an Intel or AMD processor.
However, they are not the only players in town – and HP knows. If you are a very mobile professional who must remain constantly connected and wishes to unload long tasks in AI, HP launched the EliteBook 6 G1 laptop, which includes a 14 -inch model with a NPU Tops 40–60 which is “built by knowledge creators to do more”.
There are two models EliteBook 6 Next Gen AI, including Choosing: one with an AMD processor (G1A) and one with a Qualcomm (G1Q) processor, both of 14 inch size. Although Intel is offered in the AI standard version (less than 40 NPU tops), and in high -end EliteBook 8 G1 models, it is not at all offered in the EliteBook 6 Next Gen AI range.
Choice of snapdragons
The 14 -inch PC EliteBook 6 G1Q Next Gen AI is powered by an Elite 45 Tops Snapdragon X, X Plus or X processor. The memory configurations go up to 64 GB LPDDR5X, with storage options ranging from 256 GB to 1 TO PCIe NVME M.2 SSD. The 14 -inch display is available in several options, including Wuxga (1920 x 1200) and WQXGA (2560 x 1600).
Other characteristics to note include an FHD camera, with 5MP + IR or Ai-A-Enhanced optional cameras. The audio comes via two stereo speakers per poly studio and two microphones with AI noise reduction.
The laptop also includes a spill-resistant keyboard (possibly backlit with Durakeys) and a Microsoft precision paver. Connectivity options include two USB4-C-C ports, two USB-A, HDMI 2.1, Jack Audio, RJ45 and an optional Nano SIM. Wireless support includes Wi-Fi 7 or Wi-Fi 6th with Bluetooth 5.4 or 5.3, as well as 5G WWAN optional.
The battery options are 48 or 56Wh. The laptop weighs approximately 1.45 kg and is available in all the colors you like, as long as it is silver. The group software includes Myhp, HP AI Companion, Microsoft Copilot, Poly Camera Pro, etc.
There is not yet a word on prices or availability for the only Qualcomm AI laptop of HP.
