The federal minister of railways hanif Abbasi ordered rail authorities on Tuesday to adopt modern security technologies and improve emergency preparation to ensure passenger safety at any time.
He chaired a high -level meeting at the Ministry of Railways, which the main stakeholders attended to examine the operations of the railways of Pakistan and discuss future strategies.
During the meeting, the Minister stressed that the safety and safety of passengers had to remain a priority in railway operations.
He took a detailed briefing on trains, passenger services, technical operations and security protocols.
Abbasi underlined the need to maintain punctuality in train arrivals and departures and called for collective efforts to provide effective and opportune service.
He also ordered railway officials to strengthen security in stations and on board trains to prevent any annoying incident.
The upgrading of the infrastructure, including tracks, stations and rolling, has also been highlighted as a key area.
Abbasi said that the introduction of modern and comfortable trains would encourage more people to use Pakistan railways as a favorite travel mode.
He stressed the importance of customer service, urging staff to be professional, courteous and helpful when it comes to passengers.
He called for better communication with travelers, ensuring that they were informed in advance of trains, delays and service interruptions.
He also underlined the economic potential of Pakistan railways, encouraging managers to explore new sources of income through private sector partnerships, improved freight services and tourism development.
The Minister noted that Pakistan railways could play a vital role in economic growth and social development because of its vast network and its rich history.
He called for a renewed commitment of all stakeholders to transform the Pakistani railways into a modern, effective and reliable transport system that meets the needs of the people.
