Thousands to benefit from an increase in RS19 / kg in the price of sugar

Islamabad:

On Wednesday, the government set the retail price of sugar to RS164 per kilogram, 13% higher than the price set when the export of 600,000 metric tonnes of sugar was authorized. This adjustment benefits the thousands by allowing them to harvest the double Bonanza, gaining higher income from local and international markets.

The decision was taken by a committee of 10 members led by Darrier ISHAQ DAR. The Committee has determined the new exact and detailed prices of sugar after negotiations with Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (PSMA), an entity accused of operating as a cartel by the country’s antitrust guard dog.
